OPTION 1 – FULL DESIGN PACKAGE $6,000.00 incl. GST

Full set of detailed Joinery Working Drawings.  Allows a client to have project comprehensively priced as it includes all information pertaining to the kitchen cabinetry design, details, finishes, fittings + appliances, specification schedule, and benchtop plans.  This option also includes lighting plan, lighting specifications and electrical placement.

Benefits to client:

  • High level of detail
  • Client has freedom to engage any cabinetmaker allowing for client control over who prices and constructs (ie. client can shop around).
  • The level of documentation provided gives full information/instructions in relation to quality of fit-out and finishes/specified fittings, which ensures a high level result.  This option is most suitable for a high-end quality kitchen fit-out.

Nichola Blakely will include 10 hours project management for free (valued at $1725.00).

(This would usually cover an initial meeting with the joiner to go through documentation and discuss details and cabinetry requirements, phone communication with the joiner during the construction process, cabinetry inspection prior to installation and on-site final inspection/client approval).

 

OPTION 2 – WORKING CONCEPT DRAWINGS $2,900.00 incl. GST

Working concept drawings: Client is purchasing the design.  Construction details and cabinetry fittings can be resolved directly with their chosen joiner.  Documentation provided is a dimensioned floor plan and elevations, kitchen finishes, fittings and appliances notated on drawings.  Electrical placement as it relates to joinery.

Benefits to client:

  • Much quicker process
  • Focus is on design rather than finer details
  • Allows a client greater control over the cost of the kitchen fit-out.
  • A client is free to upgrade to the full design package at any stage during the working concept stage.

Nichola Blakely will include 5 hours project management for free (valued at $862.50).

(This would usually cover an initial meeting with the joiner to go through documentation and discuss details and cabinetry requirements, as well as phone communication during construction).

With this option a client would project manage the majority of the construction and installation.

Any additional hours (over and above the hours stated here) spent on the project by the designer would be at the client’s discretion and would be charged at the designer’s usual chargeout rate of $150.00 an hour + GST.

 

OPTION 3 – DESIGN + CONSTRUCTION PACKAGE $2,900.00 incl. GST Design fee

10% of kitchen joinery construction and installation price will be allocated to designer to cover project management hours
Full design and construction package through to installation of cabinetry and client sign-off.  This package allows for the designer to work with her chosen joiner. It also includes designer working with her chosen benchtop supplier/manufacturer to ensure the highest level of finish and to ensure a quality fit-out.  This option also includes lighting plan, lighting specifications and electrical placement.

Benefits to client:

  • Every aspect of design and construction is included, therefore a much easier and stress-free process for client
  • Entire project is co-ordinated by designer through to final installation, including joinery construction, kitchen lighting, benchtop manufacture, splashbacks and all vital components relating to overall design (to be discussed)
  • High level of detail and construction as well as joiner accountability
  • Allows for the highest quality fit-out in terms of detailing, finish and installation.  High level of service via designer and joiner.
  • Benchtop template, manufacture and installation is included
  • This option is most suitable for a high-end quality kitchen fit-out.

Project Management will include:

Initial site measure by joiner with designer present to check floor, wall and ceiling levels and heights and discuss any onsite changes (eg. plumbing, electrical, lighting etc).  Adjustment to drawings with joiner where required.

Meeting with the joiner to go through documentation and discuss details and cabinetry requirements, phone communication with the joiner during the construction process, cabinetry inspection prior to installation and on-site final inspection/client approval.

Also allows for communication with builder, lighting consultant, benchtop manufacturer and any key tradespeople employed to ensure the highest level of fit-out quality as well as service and communication with client.
