Dorset Towers Apartment Renovation (2007)

This was a renovation of an inner city 1970s apartment. We gutted the existing apartment and rebuilt it.

Kitchen:
The new kitchen has a modern approach to 1970s detailing with the use of white appliances, dark walnut veneer (with a custom stain/finish) and original cabinetry handles and recessed flourescent batten lighting.
Finishes: 100% gloss 2-pak lacquer, walnut timber veneer (crown cut), quartz composite benchtop.

Bathroom:
I designed the new shower with a step up and fall to the adjacent wall with an All-Proof stainless trough and grate customised for the shower space with new plumbing housed within the raised floor of the new shower. The new vanity is a solid walnut shelf with lots of concealed storage behind the mirror cupboards
Finishes: Bizazza mosaic tiles, Zuchetti tapware, including a flushmounted showerhead light above.

Living:
The audio storage cabinetry was designed to have all audio equipment hidden behind pocket doors, housing built in speakers and sub-woofer equipment. The wall speakers were hidden within the wall cavity on either side of the tv. This room features custom designed skirting and cornices.
